Hello Blog readers. I hope that everyone had a good Memorial Weekend and a safe one. Well Mayo's Diabetic Doctor called me and they have now increased my Insuling twice. I was giving myself a 8 unit shot of insulin a day, then it went to 10 and now it is 12. So they think that the Prednisone is giving the Blood sugar a rise. But they call me every week to see what the levels have been. So I am hoping that I will be able to be taken off the insulin when they take me off the Prednisone which I call the FAT pill. It makes me gain a FEW POUNDS. Yeah! But they hope that the Diabetes will go away with time. The other thing is, seeing that the liver was so sick before, it took a tole on the bones. Which means I am a 25 year old with Osteoperosis. FUN! Well when the liver was sick, it didn't give my bones the calcium and Vitamine D like it should have. But they can't put me on a pill for the bones till after my 4 month evaluation. So I will deal with the bone pain till they say what else to do. And last but not least, the headaches. WOW! I never had them till now, and when I say ache, I mean ACHE. But those are caused by my Anti-rejection meds, and without them, I die. So I either deal with the headaches, or die. We will deal with the pain because I love spending my time without the headaches with my little men. So that is all for now. Love to all, Jmee

Hello, and I hope that all of you have a safe and good Memorial weekend. Well the big news in our house is that Becky had her baby girl on May 22nd. Skyla Kennedy Felten. She weighed 6 pounds 9 oz and 19 1/2 in long. She is a beauty. Becky has moved back home during the time that she will need help with the new baby. So we now have three babies down and one to go towards the end of June. Nothing new health wise with me. I still have some bone pain and some headaches, but it is managable at the time being. I have a follow up with the Transplant doctors on June 12th about the leak. Until then I just sit and enjoy my little people. Love you all much. Jmee

Hello Blog readers. Not much has happend health wise. And it hopefully won't till June 12th when I have to return to Mayo. I have been doing well. My Kindey level will go up and down, but that could be from the med. Other wise, the scar is finally starting to dry up and heal. THANK THE LORD. I have lost most of the fluid in the abdomen, but there is still some left to lose. I am still giving myself daily insulin shots, and that will hopefully end when they take me off the Prednisone. I get weekly labs done, so they have been keeping a pretty close eye on things. The Liver tests are perfect as of right now. And that is how we want them for a long time. The last time I had written, My Punky Bear had been sick, he is doing much better now, and the Doctor has told his Mom and Dad that he as Asmah, so he takes an inhaler treatment a few times a day and then he has one for emergency reasons. He also has a few allergies, but other wise, he loves to play and run around outside. I thank you all for the prayers that you have said for me and for My Punky Bear. It is a blessing to know that I have people who will do that. Love you all much, Jmee

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers that read this. Well I have been home now since April 18th. And each day seems to get easier. The scar has finally begun to dry up and heal. I have gone a whole 2 days without wearing the gauze on the tummy. YEAH! They are still monitoring labs on a weekly basis to make sure nothing creeps up on us. Had rather be safe than sorry. As of right now things look perfect. Mayo couldn't ask for better results. But we still are not out of the woods about the leak, and will know more on the 12thh of next month. I do ask for prayer for My Punky Bear. He will see an allergist about his pnuemonia, and hopefully we will know more about why it won't go away. His Appointment is Tuesday. Today was the best Sunday ever. I spent the day with my best friends, I am so blessed to have them. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement. Love lots always. Jmee P.S. the photo is of us streaking through Mayo at Midnight.

Hello Blog readers, well I am two weeks and two days home. Things have been still going good. We still have the issues with the Bone, Back pain, and the healing of the the incision and now side pain.I am hoping that the side pain,
is just from me being a little more active. I like being able to play with my little men. Well one of my little men had to be in the hospital again for reacurring Pneumonia. The little guy had such a great attitude though. He got to come home today, and he acted as if he was never sick. He takes after his Aunty Jmee. For the people that know this little man, it was Willy, My Punky Bear. He is a brave little guy. So now that he is home and doing better, Aunty can get some sleep. I will follow up with Mayo about these pains and the healing of the scar this week. They call me at least twice a week to make sure things are ok. If everything stays good, I won't need to go back till June 12th to have the stent removed or replaced, and then at that time they will check to see if the leak healed. If not, then it is back to the OR. Yes Aunt Susan it would be a lot easier if they could just put a zipper in. I thank all of you for the prayers and encouragement. Love you all lots, Jmee

Hello Blog readers, I am on week 5 post transplant. I have done great so far. Labs are looking great. But we do have some issues still. I have been having a problem with head aches wich are caused by my anit-rejection med, and I have the choice if taking my pain pill or taking a tylenol, but I can't take both. So I get to choose which pain is the worst. And at this point we are dealing with the pain of bones and back too. Then we have the incision that has not healed all the way yet. And I think I am going to have to go in and have that checked out, just to be on the safe side so that it does not get infected. There is still drainage and that is why I need to be on the safe side of things. So I ask that you pray for the head, bone and back aches and also for the drainage. The first transplant I only had one spot a problem and now I have three, so it is getting kind of annoying at times. So I may have to go to Mayo next week not sure yet, I am hoping that they will let me see a Doctor here, and then they can call up there and tell them what they think. I am looking forward to May 10th, my first day of driving. It kind of makes me nervious, but my best friend said that he would drive with me till I am comfortable with the car again. It is a 5 speed, so if it was an automatic, I would have no problem at all. But I will just have him drive with me to be on the safe side. I thank you all for your daily prayers for me. I can't tell you how blessed I am to have my own prayer team. I am a lucky and blessed Girl. Love ya lots, Jmee
